HÃ¥kan Algotsson

Håkan Algotsson (born 5 August 1966 Tyringe ) is a retired Swedish professional ice hockey goaltender who played in his time from 1983 to 2001 among others for Västra Frölunda HC in the Elitserien and the Star Bulls Rosenheim in the Deutsche Eishockey Liga.

Career

Håkan Algotsson began his career as a hockey player with Tyringe Soss, for which he was active from 1983 to 1988 and with which he ascended in the 1985/86 season from the third-tier Division 2 to Division 1. Subsequently, the goalkeeper moved in the summer of 1988 to their league rivals Västra Frölunda HC, with whom he immediately achieved promotion to the Elitserien. There he stood the next ten years between the posts, before he received a contract with the Star Bulls Rosenheim from the German Ice Hockey League for the 1999/2000 season. When they withdrew from the DEL at the end of the season, the Swede returned to Västra Frölunda, where he finished his career in 2001.

Internationally

For Sweden Algotsson participated in the World Cup 1992 and the 1994 Winter Olympics in Lillehammer part.
