HÃ¥kan Mild

Håkan Mild ( born June 14, 1971 in Trollhättan ) is a former Swedish football player.

Career

Debut in professional football

Mild played in youth at Trollhättans FK in his hometown. In 1988 he moved to IFK Göteborg, where he came first in the youth department for use. His first try in the first team, he completed in September 1988 in a friendly match against IF Elfsborg. It took another nine months before he could celebrate his competitive debut: On July 27, 1989, he appeared as a substitute in the first division against Halmstad BK.

Successes with IFK Gothenburg

1990 Mild had finally won a starting place and could celebrate its first Swedish championship titles in the same year. The following year, even the double, as in addition succeeded for the first place in the Allsvenskan in the final match at the Svenska Cupen AIK Solna was defeated 3-2.

Mild was appointed to the Swedish selection for the Olympic Games in 1992, where he completed all four games. In the UEFA Champions League 1992/93 he played in all ten games for the IFK Göteborg, which failed in the group stage in second place at AC Milan. In Switzerland and back

In his second season with Servette success was missing, and in the summer he returned to IFK Göteborg. With the club he celebrated his fourth championship. After a successful title defense, he tried again in 1996 abroad.

After Spain and back

Mild hired in 1996 at Real Sociedad. He played two years in Spain and came to 49 appearances in the Primera División. With the third place in 1998 achieved the best result in the club in the 1990s. Nevertheless Mild returned one more time to IFK Göteborg.

His re- entry to Sweden was not crowned with the same success as his first two stays at the club. After an eighth place in 1998 and a sixth in the standings in 1999 succeeded in 2000 with the fourth place, the best result.

To England and back

After Mild was twice came at the 2000 European Championships in Sweden used and excreted in the first round, he moved to England for Wimbledon FC, ​​who was after 14 years of excellence relegated to the First Division. After the season, he took over the post of sporting director at the club.
