HÃ¥kon Opdal

Håkon Eikemo Opdal ( born June 11, 1982 in Odda ) is a Norwegian football goalkeeper.

Career

The 1.87 m wide goalkeeper played in his youth for Odda FK. In 2000 he moved to the Tippeligaen club SK Brann. His competitive debut for Brann he was in the 2001 Cup final against Ørn Horten. It remains his only game this season. In the 2002 season, he could not pass Bergens goalkeeper Ivar Rønningen. In the last game he was, however, a substitute against Rosenborg BK, and thus came to his Tippeligaen debut.

In the 2003 season he was due to injury of Ivar Rønningen 13 league operations. For goalkeeper Opdal was in the summer of 2004 after Rønningen left the club. At the end of the season he won the Norwegian Cup with mountains.

In 2005, he came up with 24 league bets and stood at the four UEFA Cup matches in goal. At the start of the 2006 season, he allowed only seven goals in eleven games. Due to the good performance coach Åge Hareide nominated him for the A match against South Korea. However, he stayed 90 minutes on the bench. On 15 November 2006 he finally made ​​his international debut against Serbia.

In the 2007 season he missed due to a red card just a league match. At the end of the season he won the Norwegian league title with SK Brann.

Beginning of 2007 extended Håkon Opdal with SK Brann to 2011.
