Hale Center is a city in Hale County in the U.S. state of Texas in the United States.

Geography

The city lies at the confluence of Interstate 27 to the Farm Road 1914 near the Countyzentrum in northwestern Texas, called the Texas Panhandle, is located in the west 112 km from the border of New Mexico and has a total area of 2.8 km ² without significant water surface.

Demographic data

According to the census of 2000, there were 2,263 people in 798 households and 572 families. The population density was 801.6 inhabitants per km ². The racial the population was composed of 76.54 % White, 5.04 % African American, 0.31 % Native American, 0.04 % Asian, 0.00% Pacific Islander residents from the and 15.42 % from other ethnic groups. Approximately 2.65% were of mixed descent, and 56.56 % of the population were Hispanic or Latino of any race.
