Halil River

The Halil River (Persian هلیل رود Halil -Rud ) is a river in the districts Dschiroft and Kahnuj of Kerman province in Iran.
The river rises in Hazar Mountains at an altitude of 3,300 meters about 96 kilometers northwest of Dschiroft and has a length of 390 km. Seasonal it flows into the Hamun Lake. In the Halil River level is the location of Jiroft Bronze Age culture that was destroyed in 1000 AD by a historic flood.
