Three cheers for Django (Original title: La più grande del rapina West) is a Spaghetti Western from 1967, the Maurizio Lucidi staged with George Hilton in one of the lead roles. In the German speaking part of the film, one of the first Spaghetti Western, the comedic elements in the plot was integrated, premiered with some delay on 6 March 1970.

Action

A group of outlaws, led by the fierce chiefs Jarrett undertake an elaborate bank robbery in Middletown. While the sheriff and some men take up the chase of the gang, looking for the inventor of the plan, David, shelter in Poor Lands, where he leads the loot with them. After some time, the other members of the group meet in order to distribute the money.

The local Sheriff Martin attempts, violence, bring the outlaws with him, Lord to become what he must pay with his life. His brother Billy ' rum ' Cooney is now working to avenge his death. He teams up with David, who wants the loot for themselves. Gradually, they decimate the number of bandits. In this way, successful Billys revenge; David is also just before the success, as the money is hidden in a holy statue of Abélard, flies with Jarrett in a powerful explosion in the air.

Criticism

" Lucidi [ ... ] has delivered with this film a renewed proof that you can tinker successful Western comedies well, especially if one has the creative skill [ ... ] ", Christian Kessler noted in his review for the film.

"The film moves on to the usual tracks, but with more logic than usual, and a pinch of irony, the new flowers gives the genre ," judged film Mese.
