Halls (cough drop)

Halls is a brand name for cough drops and pastilles of the international food group Mondelez International.

History

In 1893, the Hall brothers in the UK founded to manufacture the company to Halls soap and jam. Soon they began to produce confectionery such as sweets and traditional British specialties such as lime and peppermint chocolate and distribute. In 1930, the Halls were by them invented formula from Mentho - Lyptus, a combination of menthol and eucalyptus, patented. In order for the Friars Hall began with the production of one of the most popular cough drops. Today, Hall is not only used as a cough drop, but also as a breath freshener. The company belongs since 2003 to the Cadbury Group. 2010 Cadbury and thus Hall was taken over by Kraft Foods and led since its name change in 2012 under the umbrella of Mondelez International.
