Hamburger Konservatorium

The Hamburg Conservatory is the oldest, still existing music training center in northern Germany.

History

The Hamburg Conservatory was founded in 1908 as Klaer'sches Conservatory of Music in the Prussian Blankenese. Since 1977, it has its registered office in a specifically created for the Conservatory building directly on the partially rural district of Hamburg- Sülldorf S-Bahn station.

Long before there was the Musikhochschule Hamburg, the Conservatory was - especially by some lecturers - popular.

It is one of the largest private schools of music in the Federal Republic of Germany and united under one roof Academy ( studying music ), a music school ( lay training ) and training and event center.

The Conservatory works with the following facilities closely: Hamburg Music Academy, State Music Academy in Hamburg, Hamburg Landesmusikrat, Young Musicians and National Youth Music School Hamburg.
