Hamdan bin Rashid Al Maktoum

Hamdan bin Rashid Al Maktoum (Arabic حمدان بن راشد آل مكتوم Hamdan Bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Hamdan DMG b Rashid Al Maktoum, . * 1945) is Minister for Finance and Industry in the UAE.

He was in Schindagha as the second eldest of four sons of Sheikh Rashid bin Said Al Maktoum born. His brothers are Sheikh Muhammad ( ruler of Dubai and Prime Minister, Defense Minister and Vice President of the United Arab Emirates) and Sheikh Ahmed bin Rashid Al Maktoum. His eldest brother, Sheikh Maktoum, Vice President and Prime Minister of the UAE until his death, died on 4 January 2006.

He is just like his brother Sheikh Muhammad a fan of equestrianism and especially Endurance

Every year an international prize is donated by him, the Sheikh Hamdan Bin Rashid Al Maktoum Award for Medical Sciences, an award for medical sciences.

Sheikh Hamdan bin Rashid Al Maktoum is not 'm with Sheikh Hamdan Zayed Al Nahyan to be confused from Abu Dhabi. This is 15 years younger and had acquired in 2009, with its shipbuilding group Abu Dhabi MAR, the majority at the Blohm and Voss.
