Hamlin Reservation is a 135 acres ( 54.6 ha) large nature reserve near the town of Ipswich, Massachusetts in the United States, which is administered by the organization The Trustees of Reservations.

Sanctuary

The originally used for agriculture area is now essentially of a large salt marsh. An approximately 1 mi (1.6 km) long trail leads along a historic dike around Eagle Iceland. The dike association at the time of its construction, the island with the mainland, so that the cattle could graze on the island. Today Eagle Iceland is covered with a forest of Weymouth pine, oak and hickory.

At the back of the island is extensive marshland, which is drained by the Labor -in- Vain Creek and the last unspoiled parts of the 25,000 acres ( 101.2 km ²) comprehensive Great Marsh heard. Here, among other glossy ibis and snowy egret can be observed.

The plot was the Trustees, 1993 by Octavia Hamlin inherited and named in memory of the founder after her.
