Handen

Hands is a settlement in the Swedish Stockholm County and municipal seat of Haninge. By definition, but for Swedish towns ( Tätort ) it belongs to the town of Stockholm. In hands live about 11,500 people.

History

Hands was initially a small village that until 1901 by the construction of the railway line between Stockholm and Nynäshamn ( Nynäsbanan ) began to grow. 1931 was the settlement of a railway station for the Stockholm commuter train ( Pendeltåg ). At the station there is also a bus terminal with connections to the surrounding villages. 1989 a large indoor shopping mall was built, which also houses the town hall.

Sports

In the amusement park Rudans Gård hands offers a variety of sporting opportunities. Here there is both a mountain bike and a lighted jogging loop. The latter is prepared with artificial snow for skiing in winter. Also located in the park, a disc golf course with 18 " holes".
