Hannes Stein

Hannes Stein (* February 15, 1965 in Munich) is a German - American political journalist and author. He was a member of the network The Axis of Good.

He grew up in Salzburg, he began in 1984 to study English, American and philosophy in Hamburg. After graduating as MA in 1989 he lived at least one year as a German teacher in Scotland and then began his career in journalism at the FAZ; later he worked for the mirror, the Zurich World Week and the Mercury. From 1997 to 1999 he lived in Jerusalem, studied Hebrew and there wrote his book " Moses and the revelation of democracy." In addition, he worked as a cultural correspondent for the Berliner Zeitung. After that, he was literary editor of the Rheinische Merkur in Bonn and moved to Hamburg in 2000 to the world.
