Hans Beck (ski jumper)

Hans Arnold Beck ( born April 25, 1911 in Kongsberg, † April 10, 1996 in Oslo) was a Norwegian ski jumper.

Beck, who started for the club Kongsberg IF, was in 1932 in the squad for the Olympic Winter Games 1932 in Lake Placid. He won the normal hill silver medal. He was also runner-up. He had to jumping only his compatriot Birger Ruud admit defeat, but landed before Kåre Walberg.

Beck married in 1949 and had two children. After his playing career, he worked as a salesman for sports accessories. On 10 April 1996 Beck died two weeks before his 85th birthday in Oslo.
