Hans de Koster

Hans de Koster ( born November 5, 1914 in Leiden, † November 24, 1992 in Wassenaar ) was a Dutch politician of the Volkspartij voor de Vrijheid Democracy.

Life

Koster studied economics. He was a member of the Volkspartij voor de Vrijheid Democracy. From 1971 to 1973, succeeding Koster was Willem den Toom Dutch Defense Minister in the Cabinet of Barend Biesheuvel. He was succeeded as Secretary of Defense Henk Vredeling. After his time was Minister Koster deputy in the Second Chamber of the States General from 1973 to 1977 and from 1977 to 1980 Koster was a member of the First Chamber of the States General. From 1978 to 1981 he was also the successor of Karl Czernetz President of the Parliamentary Assembly of the Council.
