Hans Drachsler

Hans Ferdinand Drachsler ( born March 10, 1916 in Plöß; † 18 October 1996 in Munich) was a German politician ( CSU).

Life and career

Drachser grew up in Czechoslovakia. After leaving school at the Humanistic Gymnasium in Mies studied Drachsler, the Roman Catholic faith was, history, classical philology and journalism in Prague, Munich and Würzburg. He became in 1936 a member of the Catholic Student Association KDSt.V. Ferdinandea Prague. He then completed an internship in Munich. During World War II he was a soldier and received the Wound Badge and the Iron Cross, Second Class.

After the war Drachsler worked as a political editor for the Isar- Post and as a correspondent for the German Press Agency. In 1952 he was publishing director and editor in chief of the CSU party newspaper Bayernkurier.

Party

In 1939 he resigned as editor of the NSDAP (member number 6454675 ). Drachsler was a member of the CSU and the JU since 1945. He was District Chairman of the JU- Lower Bavaria and vice chairman of the CSU Lower Bavaria and also a member of the CSU Regional Committee.

Member of Parliament

Drachsler was from 1957 to 1965 Member of the German Bundestag. He is always drawn as directly elected representative of the constituency Burglengenfeld in the Bundestag. From 1970 to 1978 he was a member of the Bavarian Landtag.
