Hans G W Bechly

Hans GW Bechly ( born November 20, 1871 in Neubrandenburg, Mecklenburg, † 1954) was a German trade unionist. He was head of the German National Association of Commercial Employees Association ( DHV).

Career

Bechly came as the son of the merchant Adolf Bechly and Anna Bechly, born Gragow, to the world. He attended high school and graduated to Obersekunda 1889-1893 at JP Schomann in Rostock an apprenticeship. After his military service in the Queen Elisabeth Garde Grenadier Regiment No. 3 in Charlottenburg he was from May 1894 to July 1900 in various positions working as a clerk in the iron trade.

At the same time he took over the German National Handlungsgehilfenverband volunteer the office of a man's confidence and Gauvorstehers. From 1 July 1900, he was employed full for the association. It was built in 1901 and 1904 Administering Member Gauvorsteher for Berlin- Brandenburg. He was elected deputy superintendent Association in 1908 followed in 1911 the election of the head of the association.

In addition Bechly was second Chairman of the German Trade Union Federation ( DGB), Chairman of the German Association of Professional Employees ( Gedag ), Chairman of the Supervisory Board of the Charitable Society for employee shares - homes ( GAGFAH ) and Chairman of the Supervisory Board of the German National insurance ring.

After 1945 he was among the first who built together with Wilhelm Dörr the German Salaried Employees ' Union ( DAG).
