Hans Pauli Olsen

Hans Pauli Olsen ( born August 24, 1957 in Tórshavn ) is a Faroese sculptor. He lives and works in Copenhagen and is therefore also known as the Danish sculptor.

Hans Pauli is the son of the ship's carpenter Esmar Olsen and his wife Ebba, born Joensen. Since 1985, he is married to the artist Hjørdis Haack.

Olsen completed his artistic training 1976-78 at the Ny Carlsberg Glyptotek and the Royal Danish Academy of Fine Arts with the professors Willy Ørskov and Bjørn Nørgaard 1979-87.

Hans Pauli Olsen mostly used classic materials such as granite, plaster, bronze and has developed as a sculptor, a special figurative and surrealist expression.
