Hans Ziglarski

Hans Ziglarski ( born October 16, 1905 in Białystok, † February 12, 1975 ) was a German amateur boxer.

Ziglarski 1928 German champion in the bantamweight and was then sent as a German representative in this weight class at the 1928 Olympic Games in Amsterdam. These were the first Olympic Games for which competed German boxer. However Ziglarski already lost his first fight against Canadian Vincent Glionna.

Successful was his participation in the 1932 Olympic Games in Los Angeles: With victories over the French Paul Nicolas and the Americans Joseph Long, he was able to qualify for the final. There he met the Canadian Horace Gwynne. Ziglarski had in the second round to the ground and lost the battle finally on points. The achieved second place and the Olympic silver medal related meant for him as best-placed Europeans at the same time the European title.
