Hapuseneb

Hapuseneb, also Hapu - seneb, was High Priest of Amun under the ancient Egyptian Queen ( Pharaoh ) Hatshepsut in the eighteenth dynasty. He was one of the leading officials under this ruler.

Hapuseneb was the son of Hapu ( Third Priest of Amun ) and a certain Ahhotep and father of Seniseneb, who held the priesthood of Gottesverehrerin of Amun. His principal wife was named Amenhotep.

Hapuseneb is from a series of statues known, his grave is located in Thebes ( TT67 ) and there is by him a chapel at Jabal al-Silsilah. As he reports on his now in the Louvre located ligand statue, he was a builder at a royal grave and endowed the temple of Amun from. On this statue also carries even the title of vizier ( Tjati ), which is problematic in that from the 5th year of Hatshepsut, a certain user is attested with this office.
