Harcharan Singh Brar

Harcharan Singh Brar ( born January 22, 1922 in Sarai Naga; † 6 September 2009 in Chandigarh ) was an Indian politician of the Congress Party. Of 31 August 1995 to 21 November 1996, he was Chief Minister of Indian state of Punjab. He was the successor of the assassinated Chief Minister Beant Singh.

Brar was governor of Orissa from February 1977 to September 1977 and then to 1979, Governor of Haryana. He died after a long illness at the age of 87 years.
