Harken, Inc.

Harken, Inc. is a leading manufacturer of sailing accessories headquartered in Pewaukee, Wisconsin (USA).

The company was founded in 1967 by brothers Peter and Olaf Harken, were originally under the name Vanguard va Sailboats built ( for example, from 1975 Vanguard Finns ). The production and sale of fittings and accessories boat ran largely separated, which was the business relations with competing boat builders certainly useful.

1986 Vanguard Sailboats was spun off and rakes focused on its present business, the manufacture of accessories of sailing, such as cleats, winches, blocks, Travellern. Today, Harken manufactures in the USA and Italy ( Limido Comasco, Como ).
