Harold Beverage

Harold Henry Beverage ( born October 14, 1893 in North Haven, Maine, † January 27, 1993 ) was an American electrical engineer.

After 1915, earned his Bachelor of Science degree in electrical engineering at the University of Maine, he went the following year to General Electric, where he was a radio laboratory assistant to Dr. Ernst Fredrik Werner Alexanderson. From 1920 he developed at the Radio Corporation of America receivers for transoceanic communication.

He developed the Beverage antenna and received the 1923 IEEE Morris N. Liebmann Memorial Award for his work on directional antennas.
