Harold E. Moore

Harold Emery Moore ( * July 7, 1917 in Winthrop (Massachusetts ), † 17 October 1980 ) was an American botanist. Its official botanical author abbreviation is " HEMoore ".

Life and work

Moore received in the years 1946 and 1955, a Guggenheim Fellowship from the John Simon Guggenheim Memorial Foundation. He worked at the Bailey Hortorium in Ithaca in upstate New York. Moore was co-editor of Hortus third of Liberty Hyde Bailey ( 1976). He has published partially together with William Thomas Stearn and Robert Gardner Wilson.
