Harquebusier

As Arkebusierreiter, also briefly arquebusiers, cavalrymen who fought with arquebuses were referred from the 16th century.

History

Middle of the 16th century, the arquebus from the Duke of Alva in the Netherlands was introduced as a rider weapon from 1 to 1.3 m in length, the balls of about 29 grams missed after they get a wheel lock and to prevent their being lost, at the left side had been provided with a rod with ring, was in a spring hook ( carabiner ) hooked.
