Harry Haddock

Harry Haddock ( born July 28, 1925 in Glasgow, † December 18 1998 in Rutherglen ) was a Scottish football player.

Career

Haddock played as a teenager at the Renfrew FC and joined after the Second World War at the resumption of the regular operation in the summer of 1946 at Exeter City. After one season, he returned to Scotland, where he was active for the Clyde FC until his retirement in late 1963. Three times he went with the team during this time from the first Scottish League from, managed with the team but in each case the direct return. In addition, he won two titles with the team, than the national cup competition in 1955 and three years later Celtic Hibernian Edinburgh were each hit. Also due to the ups and downs with the club he came 1954-1958 to only seven missions in the Scottish national team. He was in the squad at the World Championships in 1958. The poor performance without a win and two defeats led to other players possibly for subsequent non-consideration in the national team. Nevertheless, he received the award in 1959 as Scotland's Player of the Year.
