Harry Halbreich

Harry Leopold Halbreich ( born February 9, 1931 in Berlin) is a Belgian musicologist.

Harry Halbreich studied from 1949 to 1952 at the Geneva Conservatory, from 1952 to 1954 at the École Normale de Musique in Paris with Arthur Honegger and from 1955 to 1958 at the Paris Conservatoire with Olivier Messiaen. 1970 to 1976 he taught music analysis at the Royal Conservatory in Mons. Lectures and seminars have taken him to Italy, Spain and Japan. He also produced numerous radio programs, etc. RTB in Brussels.

The focus of half the kingdom of musical writings applies 20th-century composers, including Edgar Varèse, Olivier Messiaen, Arthur Honegger and Bohuslav Martinů. For the latter two, he created detailed business directories; set out therein, serial numbers, the symbol " H " prefix.
