Harvard–Yenching Institute

The Harvard - Yenching Institute ( Chinese哈佛 燕京 学 社/哈佛 燕京 学 社, Pinyin HAFO Yanjing Xuéshè ) is a foundation which, of Harvard University, and Yenching University in 1928 for the academic education in social sciences in East and Southeast Asia was founded. The foundation was initiated by Charles Martin Hall. The Institute is financially and legally independent despite its location on the Harvard campus.
