Hashim Khan

Hashim Khan (* November 26, 1929 in Peshawar ) is a former Pakistani squash player.

Career

Hashim Khan won in 1951 as the first Pakistanis British Open, when he defeated the four-time defending champion Mahmoud Karim at the age of 37 with 9:5, 9:0 and 9:0. Until 1958, he won six more titles, with the last 44 years. Only in 1957 he was defeated in the final his cousin Roshan Khan. The Tournament of Champions and the United States Open Championship, now the U.S. Open, he won three titles. He was inducted into the World Squash Hall of Fame in 1993.

In addition to his cousin Roshan and his brother Azam Khan, his nephew Mo Khan and Roshan's son Jahangir Khan Squash Players were known. Hashim Khan has a total of 12 children, of whom six sons went about the squash sport in the United States.
