Hassan Sabeh

Hassan Sabeh ( حسان صابح ) ( born 1947 in Beirut ) is a Sunni Muslim and Lebanese Minister of Interior.

He was an army officer. As a parliamentarian, he took up in the parliamentary election in 2005 for the oriented pro- Hariri Future Movement and subsequently belonged to the new government of Prime Minister Fouad Siniora as interior minister.

On 5 February 2006, he resigned in response to the arson of the building by the Danish Embassy protesting against the Muhammad cartoons demonstrators.

After the assassination of Pierre Gemayel junior industry minister he returned to the office because the number of ministers after the withdrawal of six ministers of Hezbollah and any other related parties, the number of cabinet members had slipped on the minimum number.
