Hatillo de Loba

Hatillo de Loba is a municipality in the Magdalena River in the province of Bolívar in Colombia with 11,316 inhabitants (as of 1 January 2005). Hatillo de Loba was founded in 1637 and has been on 3 February 1988, a community.

History

The municipality of Hatillo de Loba was founded in 1988 as a spin- out of the municipalities of San Martín de Loba y and Hatillo San Fernando.

Geography

Hatillo de Loba is bordered to the north by the department of Magdalena, on the east by the municipality of El Peñón, on the south by the municipalities of Barranco de Loba and San Martín de Loba and to the west by the municipality of Margarita. Hatillo de Loba to include the districts of La Victoria, Juana Sanchez, La Ribona and San Miguel y el Pozon.
