Haugschlag is a municipality with 495 inhabitants (as of 1 January 2013 ) in the district of Gmünd in Lower Austria.

Geography

Haugschlag, Austria's northernmost town, is on the drawing creek in the northwest corner of the Waldviertel in Lower Austria, directly on the border with the Czech Republic. At the mouth of the creek in the Rottaler Neumühlbach opposite the former Czech barracks Peršlák the northernmost point of Austria.
