Haworth, Inc. is an American furniture manufacturer based in Holland (Michigan).

History

The now run by the third generation family business started in 1948 with the production of school and office furniture. End of the 1980s, the owner's family opted for the international expansion. As a result, companies have been included in numerous countries. Haworth employs over 7,000 people and has a distribution network in 120 countries. The company has its own factories on three continents. In Europe, the company produces in Germany, France, Italy, Portugal, Spain and Switzerland.

In September 2013 it was announced that the production site Ahlen is to be closed at the end of 2014 and the location Bad mouths to be restructured.

Range

The range comprises of Haworth office furniture of all kinds, as well as a wide selection of chairs for various purposes. Haworth collaborates with numerous renowned designers. The company attaches great importance to sustainability. Its flagship product, the chair Zody_System system 89 consists of 51 % recycled materials, the materials are recyclable to 98%. All production plants of Haworth are certified to ISO 9001, ISO 14001 and ISO 18001.
