Haworthia attenuata

Haworthia attenuata is a species of the genus Haworthia in the subfamily Asphodelus ( Asphodeloideae ).

Description

Haworthia attenuata grows and stemless clumping. The narrowed, spreading, lanceolate - triangular leaves form a rosette with a diameter of up to 10 centimeters and a height of up to 13 centimeters. The leaf blade is up to 13 centimeters long and 1.5 centimeters wide. The leaf surface is rough. On it are significantly elevated warts that do not flow together.

The loose, sparsely branched inflorescence reaches a length of 24-28 centimeters. The wrong kopfige flower tube is bent and the tepals are rolled back.

Systematics and distribution

Haworthia attenuata is widespread in South Africa's Eastern Cape.

The first description as Aloe attenuata by Adrian Hardy Haworth was published in 1804. In 1812 he placed the species in the genus Haworthia. There are numerous synonyms.
