HD 102117 is a 137 light-years distant, sun-like star in the constellation Centaurus. Although the surface temperature is lower than that of the sun, of the star is lighter than the latter. HD 102117 is at least one planet ( exoplanet ) orbits.

HD 102117 b is the name of the planet orbiting the star HD 102117. He is so far the only planet that could be detected in this star system, the particulars of mass vary from 0.14 to 0.3 Jupiter masses. An orbit around the central star takes 20.8 days. The planet was in 2004 with the radial velocity method by CG Tinney, R. Paul Butler and Geoffrey Marcy et al. discovered.
