HD 10647

HD 10647, also known as q1 Eridani known, is about 57 light years distant main sequence star of spectral type F8 in the constellation Eridanus. The star has a mass of about 1.1 solar masses and is orbited by the exoplanet HD 10647 b with a period of about 1000 days.

Planetary companion

The orbit of HD 10647 b has a semi-major axis of about 2.0 astronomical units. The exoplanet with a minimum mass of about 0.93 Jupiter masses; can thus assume that it is a gas planet. It was developed by Michel Mayor et al. discovered in 2003 using the radial velocity method.
