HD 188015

HD 188015 is a 171.58 light-years distant from Earth Yellow supergiant in the constellation fox. It has an apparent magnitude of 8.22, may therefore not visible to the naked eye. Its mass is roughly equivalent to that of the sun, but he is much older, has probably already completed the fusion of hydrogen and gets its energy now by the fusion of helium nuclei. HD 188015 has an approximately twice as high metallicity as the Sun. In 2005, Geoffrey Marcy discovered an extrasolar planet orbiting this star. He bears the name of HD 188015 b.
