HD 70573

Approximately 0.6 L ☉

HD 70573 is an approximately 150 light years from Earth remote main-sequence star of spectral type G, in the constellation Hydra. It has an apparent magnitude of 8.7 mag. HD 70573 is a member of the Hercules - Lyra Association.

A study published in 2007 investigation of Setiawan et al. revealed a companion to HD 70573, in which it might be an exoplanet. The discovered variations in the radial velocity have a period of about 850 days and a semi- amplitude of about 150 m ∙ s -1. This suggests a companion with a minimum mass of about 6 Jupiter masses. The attendant carries the systemtatische called HD 70573 b.
