HD 81040 b

HD 81040 b is an extrasolar planet, the yellow dwarf HD 81040 orbits every 1001.7 days. Due to its high mass is assumed that it is a gas planet.

Discovery

As the majority of exoplanets was also discovered that using the radial velocity method. The planet was from A. Sozzetti et al. discovered in 2005.

Circulation and mass

The planet orbits its star at a distance of approximately 1.94 astronomical units at an eccentricity of 52.6 % and has a mass of about 2187 Earth masses and 6.88 Jupiter masses.
