Hedwig of Saxony

Hadwig of Saxony, Duchess of Franzien (* 914-920; † 959 ) was a daughter of the East Frankish King Henry I and his second wife, Mathilde, sister of Emperor Otto I and the mother of Hugh Capet, the founder of the Capetian.

Hadwig was younger than her brother Otto ( * 912) and her sister Gerberga, but older than her brother Heinrich ( * 921 ). 937 or 938, it was with Hugh the Great, Duke of Franzien married.
