The Hehuanshan (Chinese合欢 山) is a 3,416 meter high mountain in the center of the island of Taiwan. In addition to the main summit, there are two other neighboring peaks, 3,421 meters high and the eastern tip to one meter higher northern tip, which thus are higher than the main peak. The mountain, which is part of the central mountain chain ( Zhongyang Shanmai ) Taiwan is located in the northeast of Nantou County near the border with County Hualian. It is part of Taroko National Park.

A 3275 meter high mountain pass that connects Puli in central Taiwan with the Hehuanshan only about 35 km as the crow remote east coast of the island on the Pacific, passes close to the summit. The summit is the highest point attainable in streets of Taiwan. The road has been an earthquake that has a different road damaged 1999, the only one that crosses the central mountain range of Taiwan in East-West direction. From her a half a mile long trail leads to the summit, where there is a weather station.

The Hehuanshan has evolved in recent years become a popular destination for locals. This has to do with the fact that the mountain is one of the few accessible by car places Taiwan is where one finds snow regularly in winter. It is especially in January and February as a relatively snow-sure. There was once even a ski lift on the mountain, for the commercial ski operations, the number of snow days, however, is too low, so the lift was removed again.
