Action

Background

Heidi was an early collaboration between screenwriter and director Isao Takahata and Oscar winner Hayao Miyazaki, the later founders of Anime Studio Ghibli. The success of Heidi in Japan led to the creation of the project, World Masterpiece Theater, where the production company Nippon Animation transposed every year from 1975 to 1997, an international literary work as an anime series.

In the anime implementation of the novel is a popular motif of Japanese literature, namely the tension between nature and civilization, picked up and taken to the main topic.

In preparation for the series Zuiyo the production team traveled to Switzerland to investigate on the spot and take photos. All occurring in the series buildings and places have real role models.

In the Japanese version of the bias Oshiete (おしえ て) and the guy Mattete Goran (まっ て て ごらん) by Kumiko Osugi were sung, which originates in the latter part of the Yodel Nelly Black.
