Heijmans

Heijmans NV is one of the three largest construction companies in the Netherlands. The Group had approximately 9,600 employees in 2004.

The company, founded in 1923, whose shares are listed on the Amsterdam stock exchange AEX, has no central headquarters, but many over the Netherlands and Belgium widespread branches. It is one of the most important civil engineering companies in the Benelux countries. But it also builds apartments, office and factory buildings, hospitals, etc., in all of Western Europe.

After the failed takeover of the entire business in Germany by the American Holzmann subsidiary Jones Heijmans bought 2002 the company Franki Foundations, a civil engineering specialist, of the insolvency of the company.

A subsidiary of Heijmans NV has taken on 30 November 2006 significant operations ( construction West, Transportation Infrastructures, Engineering and Construction Logistics ) of the Oevermann group in Münster.
