Heimtali

Heimtali ( German Home Thal ) is a village (Estonian küla ) in Estonia Viljandi County. It belongs to the rural community Pärsti. Heimtali has 231 inhabitants (as of 2006).

Manor Heimtali

The manor of Heimtali originally belonged to the Order Castle of Karksi. It was first mentioned in 1528 under the name lenses. Later, the place was called Kurwitz and liturgy. 1793 notified the owner of the estate, the Baltic German nobility Peter Reinhold von Sivers, the place after his early death love Luise home in Thal to Heimtali.

The present manor complex with the classical main house dates from the 19th century. It is since 1932 a school. It is surrounded by a 37 acre park. In addition to building houses one of the most well-known breeds of sport horses in Estonia.

Places of interest in Heimtali the cultural history museum textile artist Anu Raud and the distillery in 1832 built former dairy farm of the manor house (now also conference rooms).
