Heinrich Beythien

Heinrich Friedrich Wilhelm Beythien ( born February 13, 1873 in Quakenbruck, † March 17, 1952 in Berlin- Wilmersdorf ) was a German politician ( DVP ).

Life and career

Heinrich Beythien was born on February 13, 1873, the son of a bookbinder in Quakenbruck. After attending the elementary school and the secondary school in his hometown, he completed in 1888 a commercial apprenticeship and made following military service in the Hanover Train Battalion 10 Then he took over the management of the Hanover house and property owners association, which he held until 1923. In addition, since 1898, he worked in the discount savings club beings and was one of the founders of the Association of Trade Protection and discount savings associations in Germany, Representation of Trade and Industry, based in Hanover, whose business he was in charge ever since. Beythien took over in 1917, in addition, the Office of the President of the Reich Federation of Associations of the German Retail Grocery Trade. In addition, he was Managing Director of the Association of distillery owners and the Preßhefefabrikanten Germany in Berlin as well as board member of the German Business Association and the International Association for the Study of the relationships of the middle class in Brussels. As such, he has lectured on international SME meetings in Vienna, Paris and Munich. Heinrich Beythien died on 17 March 1952 in Berlin -Wilmersdorf.

Heinrich Beythien was married to Luise Faber, with whom he had three daughters and three sons. His brother Adolf Beythien was a chemist and Director of the Chemical Investigation Department of the City of Dresden.

Party

Beythien joined after the November revolution of the DVP and was elected to the Central Committee of the Party. In 1933 he joined the Nazi Party, from which he was excluded in 1936.

Member of Parliament

Beythien was a city councilor from 1919 to 1923 (member of the civil head of the College ) in Hanover and at the same time Senator of the city. At the general election in June 1920, he was elected to the German Reichstag, where he served until July 1932. In Parliament, he represented the constituency of East Hanover. He was also a member of the Inter-Parliamentary Union.
