Heinrich Hübler

Carl Heinrich Hubler ( born December 4, 1822 in Wachwitz, † April 14, 1893 in Dresden ) was a German horn player and composer.

Hubler was hired after training with the horn players Haase August 1844 as a horn player at the Dresden court orchestra in 1851 and appointed to the Royal chamber musician. Until his retirement in 1891, he remained in this position. In 1886 he received the title of virtuoso chamber. He was co-founder of the Association of Musicians Dresden and 25 years of its Board of Directors.

In 1849 he was involved in the first private performance of the concert piece for four horns and orchestra op.86 by Robert Schumann, which took place in the presence of the composer, together with the horn players Lewy, Lorenz and Schlitterlau at the home of horn players Josef Rudolf Lewy in Dresden.

Hubler died in 1893 in Dresden and was buried at the local cemetery old Anne.
