Heinrich Körting

Heinrich Koerting (also Körting or KÖRTING, born March 15, 1859 in Leipzig, † July 19, 1890 ) was a German linguist.

Biography

Koerting studied Romance Philology. His most important teacher was next to his brother Gustav, the Romanist Adolf Ebert. He received his doctorate in 1882 with the work " About two religious paraphrases Pierre Corneille 's. L' imitation de Jésus-Christ and the Louanges de la Sainte Vierge ". 1884 was his habilitation in 1889 he was appointed to the University of Leipzig to associate professor.

Together with Dietrich Behrens (1859-1929) he was the " Journal of Modern French Language and Literature" out.
