Heinz Heise

The publishing house Heinz Heise was founded in 1949 by Heinz Heise in Hanover as address and telephone directory publishing. Later he took as further business magazines, books and loose-leaf collections in his portfolio. In 2002, the divisions were split into separate companies under the umbrella of the Heise Media Group.

History

The publishing house was founded in 1949 by Heinz Heise in Hannover and published address and phone books, 1955 branches in Bremen, Rostock and opened in 2006 in Osnabrück in 1992. Verlag Heinz Heise GmbH & Co. KG, Magazines / Books about music / Loose -leaf publications - - Heise Verlag GmbH & Co. KG and address books - Heise address Verlag GmbH & Co. KG under the umbrella of the Heise Media Group Ltd. In October 2002, the divisions telephone books were & Co. KG restructured as an independent company.

Current Managing Director of the publishing house Heinz Heise is Ansgar Heise, son of the publisher Christian Heise. The publisher is a member of the Association of German Information and Directory Media eV ( VDAV ) and the European Association of Directory and Database Publishers ( EADP ).

Activities

In Heise Verlag appear alongside loose-leaf publications on the topic of construction law and employment law periodicals c't (since 1983), iX (since 1988) and Technology Review (since 2003) and the online magazine Telepolis ( since 1996). The editors of c't, iX, Technology Review and telepolis equip Heise Online, which is one of the most successful German IT news portals.

The Heise Verlag sat down at an early stage deals with electronic media. To the first experiments, the structure of the ( failed ) communication system and the first Cosmonet delivered on a digital storage medium of the computer tray 64 were input

The publisher collaborated on productions of the Hessischer Rundfunk, which aired from 2003 with the moderators Mathias Münch and Georg Schnurer for the hr- TV the 30-minute TV show c't magazin.tv to June 2011 and is 30% co-owner of the shareholder Lower Radio, which 50.15 % stake in Lower Saxony radio chain Radio21 holds.
