Heinz Müller (footballer born 1978)

Heinz Müller ( * May 30, 1978 in Frankfurt am Main ) is a German football goalkeeper. He stands at the Bundesliga 1 FSV Mainz 05 under contract.

Career

Müller began his career in the youth of the FSV Frankfurt. About SpVgg Bad Homburg he came after one season to Hannover 96, where he spent four years as reserve goalkeeper Jörg Sievers behind. He played eight games in the Bundesliga 2 and 14 games for the youth teams of the DFB.

In 2001 he moved to Arminia Bielefeld. After one and a half years, during which he came to only one application, Müller played from January 2003 for FC St. Pauli. There he was first-choice goalkeeper and played 16 games before the Hamburg descended in the summer of 2003 in the Regional and Müller left the club.

In the second division promoted SSV Jahn Regensburg he was initially a regular place, but lost it after the first few games. After one and a half years, Müller moved to Norway in 2004 and played in the first division club Odd Grenland 2005-2007 at Premier League rivals Lillestrøm SK. In Lillestrøm he was the number one goal and won the 2007 Norwegian Cup.

In August 2007, Müller signed a three year contract with the Barnsley FC in the Football League Championship, England's second league. There he quickly became one of the best players in the team. In January 2008, he injured his knee so badly that he had to pause for approximately one year.

For the season 2009/10 Müller moved back to Germany on 1 FSV Mainz 05, in which he was goalkeeper before the start of the season because of an injury Dimo wax. In the following seasons, he was - even injury - often behind goalkeeper Christian Wetklo and Loris Karius. For winter break 2013/14 he was singled out as a goalkeeper from the Mainz Premiership team and only comes in the second team of Mainz in the Regionalliga.
