Helicon (crater)

Helicon is a relatively small impact craters in the north- west of the moon in front of the plane of the Mare Imbrium. To the east lies the slightly smaller crater Le Verrier.

The crater was officially named by the IAU in 1935 after the Greek mathematician Helicon of Cyzicus.
