Helikon Opera

The Helikon Opera (Russian Геликон - Опера, Gelikon - Opera) is a working in Moscow, Russian Federation opera ensemble, which was launched in April 1990. It was founded by Dmitry Bertman and has focused on unconventional productions. Chief conductor is Vladimir Ponkin.

Venues

The ensemble played until 2006 in the 250-seat comprehensive Mayakovsky Theater, the former ballroom in the palace of the art-loving family Shakhovskoi - Glebov - Streschnewa of the 19th century.
